Inspired by the people who kept calling caregivers “angels” under my stories from elderly care—and by the reality behind that beautiful word.
Because care workers aren't angels.
We're human.
We get tired. Overwhelmed. Underpaid. Overstimulated. We have aching feet, bad days and lives happening underneath the scrubs.
And then another alarm rings.
So we put the gloves back on and walk into the next room.
The vintage bootleg-style artwork mixes angel wings, a halo, roses, hearts and blue care gloves with two reminders at the heart of this collection:
